Katherine Julie Buteau

On December 4, 2021 at 8:07 PM, our beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and cherished friend passed away suddenly at the young age of 59.

Kathy was born in Long Beach, California.  She made many friends and built important relationships throughout her lifetime.  Including the jobs she held at Godfrey Trucking, working for the state of Alaska and most currently working at the Utah Department of Corrections.

She was an avid golfer who enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, sewing and typically anything outdoors.  But most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren more than anything in life.

She was always there for anyone who ever needed any help and always willing to put her needs aside.  Her love and affection for her dogs was unmatched.  She gave her children, family and friends the gift of strength that will remain with us all forever.  She will forever live in our hearts.

A celebration of her life will be held on what would have been her 60th birthday, Monday, December 13, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, UT.  Guests are encouraged to use the parking and entrance located on the north side of the building.

She will be laid to rest at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
