Anthony Jerome Gettler

March 6, 1996 - April 28, 2021

On Wednesday April 28 2021, Anthony Jerome Gettler, loving brother, cousin, grandson, nephew, son, and uncle passed away suddenly at age 25.

Anthony was born on March 6th, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Chrystal Naclerio and Richard Gettler. He had so many achievements in life and never gave up through his many struggles. Anthony was a man who did not know the meaning of the word quit. He worked as a welder with Tom Stuart Construction, and he was so proud of the work he did every day.

Anthony had a passion for rap and poetry, he was lyrically gifted and loved to share his gift with anyone and everyone he knew. He treasured his family more than anything. He was sure to tell you how much he loved you and how much you meant to him every time you spoke to him. Anthony loved with a heart that knew no bounds. He loved his nieces and nephews more than words can ever explain and he was so proud to be an uncle. Any person who crossed paths with him has a memory they will never forget, a moment that will always bring a smile as he was truly a genuine heart and soul and he shared that with everyone. He was always there with an encouraging word. Anthony was known for his infectious smile, his sense of style, his kind compassionate spirit and his goofy personality. He could make you laugh even on the worst of days. He was the best “hype man” out there.

Anthony was preceded in death by his grandmother Linda and his father Phil. He is survived by his Mother Chrystal, his father Richard, his three sisters Alexa, Brandi (Matt), and Brittany (Johnny), his brother Chaz, his grandmother Patti, his grandmother Yvonne, his nephews Adrian, Dominick, and Xander, his niece Lilyanna, and his cousins, aunts, uncles, and best friend.

A viewing for Anthony will be on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 South 900 East, Salt Lake City.
